Trump and Forgiveness

The “tell it like it is,” self-funded campaign of real estate mogul, Donald Trump, has captured the minds of people across America.

The July 18, 2015 Iowa Family Leadership Summit hosted 10 Republican presidential candidates at the daylong event in Ames, Iowa. The Summit partnered with Dr. Frank Luntz who asked Donald Trump, “Have you ever asked God for forgiveness?”

Mulling over the question and haltingly responding, Donald Trump demonstrated an unwillingness to admit fault or ask forgiveness – for anything! Trump hesitated, “I am not sure I have” asked for forgiveness, “I just try to go on and do a better job from there.”

Pray for Donald Trump to be drawn to the Lord Jesus Christ in the way he most needs Him. Check my paraphrase “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he that refuses to be persuaded so as to believe and obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” John 3:36

It is reported that Donald Trump is open to men of God to consult with him and that he seems to be genuinely open to what God is saying to him. I understand some have been teaching him Bible stories. We pray that he listens well. I look forward to Donald sharing publicly his experience with Jesus Christ.

The man known as the Founder of the American Revolution, Samuel Adams, says it all

“The public cannot be too curious concerning the characters of public men.”  ~ Samuel Adams – (Letter to James Warren November 4, 1775)
