Spartanburg County Republican Party Candidate Rally on Strawberry Hill.
Hundreds gathered for this outstanding opportunity to meet conservative candidates.
Only interrupted briefly by a thunderstorm the crowd toughed it out under the big tent enjoying BBQ with all the fixins provided by Mr. O’Neal Mintz, Spartanburg County Councilman.
Cooley Farms provided ice cream. Savannah scooped me up a large dish of peach! She has a welcoming smile, and a great “backhand” with that ice cream scooper. Everything was very delicious!
SCGOP State Chairman Karen Floyd introduced the candidates. Secretary of State Mark Hammond and Mic Zais for Superintendent of Education spoke; along with Trey Gowdy the new conservative candidate for the 4th Congressional District of the U.S. Congress.
Let’s keep the solid Sen. Jim DeMint; and yet generally speaking, I’m recommending that we change congress. Vote Trey Gowdy for the U.S. House of Representatives. Electing Trey Gowdy to Congress will bring the kind of conservative mind and voice needed by the great people of the 4th District and South Carolina.
Karen Floyd also encouraged support for other speakers running for SC House 36-Rita Allison; SC House 37-Steve Parker; SC House 38-Doug Brannon; as well as County Council-Dale Culbreth, O’Neal Mintz, and Roger Nutt.
Bill Chumley for SC House 35 is what I hear from people with the patriot heart and conservative values to represent the people!
All the candidates did a superb job sharing what they have to offer to serve “We The People.”
My wife said everyone “heard just what they needed to hear and it was just right.” When Jane says something is just right you can count on her discernment.
Congratulations LaDonna Ryggs, Spartanburg County GOP Chairman, for leading the way with this superb event.
