What’s in your wallet?

Mr. president will not pull out his wallet and offer to pay for your health care. Barack will make it sound like that but the only wallets involved here are yours and mine. You will be paying higher taxes for health care! Perhaps, like me, you already paid and Uncle Sam wants “double dipping” again.

obama_double_talk3Rather than a calming bed-side manner, Dr. BHO will launch his salvo on the beachhead of the citizens he plans to govern or conquer. He said a government-run health insurance plan makes sense, but hasn’t “drawn a line in the sand” on this issue. Why is it so transparent to clear thinking Americans that it’s his way or that of “Dr. Death” – Jack Kevorkian?

Months ago, Tom Daschle, the one time Senator who now wants to be your doctor, penned the administration’s health care reform prescription. He specified the “Dem dosage” in his 2008 book Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis. According to the former Senator, doctors have to give up autonomy and “learn to operate less like solo practitioners.” That means enforcing uniformity among doctors. This goes way too far when Daschle explains that hospitals and doctors that are not “meaningful users” of the new system will face penalties. More than “a line in the sand” it sounds like putting medical providers on a “sand bar” with a rising tide.

In his book, “Doctor” Daschle proposed appointing a body with extreme powers to make the “tough” decisions elected politicians won’t make. The goal, his book describes, is to slow the development and use of new medications and technologies because they are driving up costs. That means we get the old stuff when somebody gets good and ready, and it’s OK to die because it’s the “American way.” Nuts!

I had a heart event requiring a medical procedure. It is my understanding that if I had been under socialized medicine in England that I would not have “qualified” because I was over 60. Since joining the workforce, I paid into Social Security and expect to collect it along with the full benefits of Medicare. Every senior and approaching senior has a stake in this issue, as does every son and daughter of liberty. With your hand over your wallet, hold tightly, and listen very carefully.

The administration’s manefesto will echo Tom Daschle’s position that, “Health-care reform will not be pain free. Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them.” I’m neither accepting that prescription nor voting for those who have loss their grip on life and liberty. Join the party to unseat all of them. It’s probably your last chance.  I’m a “card-carrying patriot.” What’s in your wallet?
